The Tobacco Farm Life Museum, part of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, will soon display a traveling exhibit about duck decoys from the Museum of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City.
“Working Bird: Decoys and their Carvers” will open at the museum Sept. 6. The exhibit can be seen during regular museum operating hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Nov. 29.
To enhance the travelling exhibit, the Tobacco Farm Life Museum will also be displaying their own collection of duck decoys.
The museum is located at 709 North Church St. in Kenly. Admission to the museum gallery, where the Working Bird: Decoys and their Carvers exhibit will be located, and the Tobacco Farm Life grounds, is free.
