Green Book Project

Since 2017, the NC African American Heritage Commission has completed research on North Carolina’s Green Book sites. We invite you to explore each site in depth through historical vignettes, stories, and images.

NC American Indian Oral History Project

In partnership with the Oral History Unit in the Division of State Archives, the NC American Indian Heritage Commission is collecting oral histories of individuals within our tribal communities across the state.
