English Teacher at Triton High School

Guy Hill is from the Bronx, New York and teaches at Triton High School in Erwin (Harnett County). He has taught 9th and 10th grade English as well as AP Language and Composition for 24 years. He is a former president of the North Carolina English Teachers Association, a former member of Gov. Beverly Perdue’s Teacher Advisory Committee, as well as an executive board member of Gov. Roy Cooper’s DRIVE (Developing a Representative and Inclusive Vision for Education) Task Force. He was an America 250 NC Fellow with DNCR and has also been awarded the Marvin Pittman Champion of Education Award by the NC Department of Public Instruction, as well as the NC African American Heritage Commission’s Leader in Education Award.
