Join Hatteras native and amateur archaeologist Scott Dawson as he discusses new archaeological discoveries on Hatteras Island that cement the theory that the so called "Lost Colony of Roanoke" really did assimilate with the native peoples on Hatteras Island. The program is part of the museum's Salty Dawgs Lecture Series, which features presentations on North Carolina maritime history and culture. These programs are scheduled at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays from May 20 through Aug. 26 in the museum, located at 59200 Museum Drive in Hatteras. The series is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. Call 252-986-0723 for more information.
