Starlette Jacobs

ELA Teacher at Kernodle Middle School

Starlette Jacobs teaches at Kernodle Middle School in Greensboro, NC where she proudly grows 7th graders in English Language Arts. She has expanded the learning environment outside the classroom by serving as a STEM Academy Service Opportunity Coordinator and organizing a student historical tour of Washington, DC and Raleigh area museums. She has also coordinated a student hurricane relief fundraiser and played a key role in the Guilford County Schools American Indian Education Cultural Camp curriculum development. Starlette is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and native of rural Robeson County. She is a product of North Carolina public schools and a firm believer in the equity of public education.
