NCHC Barbee resolution

WHEREAS, it has been the will of Almighty God to remove from us MILLIE M. BARBEE, who throughout the years served North Carolina loyally, generously, and unselfishly in the promotion and preservation of North Carolina’s History, and served faithfully in many ways the North Carolina Historical Commission, her state and her community.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chair and the Secretary do hereby record this expression of sincere and enduring grief which has been sustained by the Historical Commission, of which she served many years as Chairman and member; and it be further

RESOLVED, that we as a group acknowledge Ms. Barbee’s Service to the

• Beaufort Historical Society in its preservation work,
• The NC Maritime Council as a founding member,
• The NC Tourism Board as a member and officer,
• The Blue Ridge Mountains Scenic Vista Project as an organizing partner,
• and the many other projects across the state to which she gave her talents.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the original of this Resolution be tendered to her family as an expression of heartfelt appreciation and sympathy.
