Beth Travis

Beth Travis is the Human Resources Director for DNCR. Beth is a native of Western North Carolina and has more than 25 years of experience in state and local human resources leadership.

Most recently, Beth served as the Human Resources Director for the State Bureau of Investigation. She previously served in HR positions at the N.C. Office of State Human Resources, Wake County Government, and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.

She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and political science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a master’s degree in public administration from Appalachian State University. Beth lives in Garner with her husband, daughter and beagle.  She enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering and traveling to new places.
