Preserving and Promoting History in North Carolina
The Federation of North Carolina Historical Societies is a coalition of historical societies, museums, historic sites, associations, and commissions dedicated to preserving and promoting history in North Carolina. This statewide network of history organizations collaborates to share ideas, develop skills, and serve as local partners for DNCR's Office of Archives and History.
Mission: The Federation of North Carolina Historical Societies inspires local history organizations through collaborative learning projects and promotes history education statewide.
Led by an advisory board made up of twelve members representing historical organizations from across the state, the Federation encourages membership for any history-focused group in North Carolina.
