Come celebrate Earth Day with the Coastal Environmental Educators Network. This free event will take place at the Jockey’s Ridge State Park visitor center parking area. The event will bring together many Outer Banks organizations that offer environmental education, so you’ll be sure to learn something new from the groups that are working hard to preserve the delicate ecosystems of the Outer Banks. Share your love for the natural world and check out our fun and informative exhibits and activities for kids.

NC Native Plant Garden Tour

This guided walking tour will take you through the native plant gardens at the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Building and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, highlighting the diverse flora that thrives in our state.

North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher
A favorite for competitive racers and leisure walkers, the 5K and 1-mile fun run wind along the Atlantic Ocean and through the picturesque maritime forest that is home to the Aquarium. All funds support NCAFF green initiatives through the North Carolina Aquarium Society.
