Anne Evangelista

Anne Evangelista serves as Director of Government Affairs for the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, where she works with agency leadership, elected officials, and stakeholders on legislative priorities and matters affecting the department. 

Prior to joining DNCR in January 2025, Anne served as Associate General Counsel to Governor Roy Cooper and held several roles with the North Carolina General Assembly, including Investigative Counsel for Governmental Operations. She began her legal career in private practice and served as a Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina, where she worked with survivors of domestic violence.  

She is a graduate of Elon University School of Law and the University of South Carolina.  A proud Gamecock and Caniac, she enjoys cheering on her sports teams and reading books when not in the office.
